Since the Wedding

Kevin and I have been busy trying to get life back to order after the whirlwind of our wedding! We got a new member to our family in the form of a four legged little boy! His name is Beau and he is a black labrador retriever! He is absolutely beautiful and maggie and him and slowly developing a pecking order with Maggie remaining the top alpha~

Our house has been turned upside down with this monster of a dog but he is a great addition and we love him!

Kevin is continuing his work at the law firm and I am still working at Coldwater Creek about 5 minutes from our home!

We just got back from a mini vacation with his family in San Diego which included Mexican food in old town, a horseshoe tournament and delicious sea food!

We also drove from San Diego to Willcox for the wedding of Megan Dunlap and Jarrod Wells with the entire family! It was beautiful and a good time to visit friends. We have a new nephew on the way so we are getting ready for a baby into the hanger clan!

We are now home for a while and I am off to oklahoma in a few weeks to take my sis back to school and see some friends! We have furniture getting in as well this week so we will finally have furniture in the upstairs that fits our house! YEAH! Other than that, not much is going on!

The Wedding is right around the corner!

Hello EVERYONE!

The wedding is right around the corner and thought I should update our blog at some point! We are in the final stages of planning and have 3 different showers coming up! We are super excited about seeing everyone and couldn't ask for a better group of family and friends than what we have. Tracy has been working on my various invitation needs including 2 of my shower invites and has done an amazing job! Check her website out at www.dreamdesignsbythm.com Pretty much the coolest graphic designer ever and she can do anything you want! Robert's catering is doing our cake and we are super excited about eating that! I cant wait! My dress should be in to az in the next few weeks and then its time to get it fitted. I cant think of much else in regards to the wedding that you might want to know but just drop a line and I will try and fill you in.

In other life news-I am currently working at Coldwater Creek at San Tan Village Mall and really like it. Kevin has a job with a firm in downtown phoenix and seems to really like it. We are busy working and wedding planning and hopefully after the wedding we will have time to chill out and get the house decorated! We definitely need to do something with this house besides our 1 picture hanging!

We had a fun filled weekend and just wanted to share the pics from it! On Saturday after our graduation lunch we had a get together at Kevin's house for everyone and The Hanger's even brought Mexican food from Arizona for all the okies and they loved it! That lasted into the wee hours and then we were up the next day packing for our return home!

Thank you to everyone that came and shared in this celebration it was a lot of fun and Kevin appreciated it a lot!

Job Outlook

OK!

So today I was working in the baby room at work and one of my coworkers gave me the best idea! I wish I could find some way to do this but I guess with the economy and the fact that I dont have any specialty training would kind of affect it for me! I do however think this is a good idea and would be a blast for me!

So here it is!
Boutique review! Here is how it would work! I go into a boutique and look around usually buy something ( I mean who wouldnt) and write a review on it! I could post this on a blog or in community newspapers/even put a book together of the best boutiques in terms of customer service, quality of products, and uniqueness of products! How this came to be was one of the girls who just started working at Go Kids was asking about shops in the area and I was giving her advice about where to go and what to look for and who was snotty and who wasnt in terms of stores and my other co worker said I was very detailed and should do that for a living! Dreams Dreams I know but wouldnt that be cool! I mean I could travel all around the USA and visit small boutiques in varying parts of the country and give people the low down! I know people have secret shoppers but small business's dont have those and in essence I would be doing that!

Enough of that! Kevin is done with Law School!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He finished his last final today and will graduate on Saturday! We are so excited and sad at the same time! We are ready to get back to AZ and life with friends and family and sad that we will be leaving good friends and family here! Good thing we can travel and have lots of weddings coming up! When we arrive home, kevin will go straight to studying for the bar exam and going to class at ASU 6 days a week! I will be looking for a job, hopefully finding one soon after I get home! If you have any ideas for me shoot them my way I would appreciate it!

This is what happened! The Bride snuck in the picture! LOL! Anna told them she had to ruin their judging pic! It was quite funny since she is the star of the day and still had to sneak in a pic! We would have taken it with her but she was saying goodbye to folks so she turned around and got in it at the last minute!

This picture is for Holly! Ali was a dancing machine at the wedding and wanted to know all about how Tanner and Holly were doing!

So in the next few weeks I will be posting the things about Oklahoma I will miss once we move back to AZ!
Here is the first pic! I love this bridge, I found it on my way back to Stillwater from Bartlesville a few weekends ago. I had the chance to hang out with my friend Ashley at her new house and town so as I went and came to Bartlesville, OK I took lots of pictures. Here are the results!

OK. I love old barns. Even ones that are a little run down. For some reason they look so right here on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. They have a surreal quality!

I was driving to Bartlesville and passed a bunch of mustangs and thought wouldnt it be cool if I ran next to her ranch, well I did! I had to turn around and get a pic of the sign! I didnt go on the actual road first cause it might be trespassing plus then I would really be a wierdo! But since we are moving to AZ I cant enter her contests so hopefully Tracy can do it and I can live vicariously (Im not sure that is spelled right)! I am sure the 3 older gentlemen fixing a boat tire down the road thought I was crazy and you who read this probably do to but She is so cool! I love to try her recipes and watch as she decorates the lodge and raises her children! It is the best blog I am reading right now! If you havent visited it yet, you should, here is the website!

This weekend, Kevin and I ran lots of errands, including picking out centerpieces for his law review banquet, clipping maggie and cleaning house! I feel like we were actually productive for the first time in a while! I also attended the church where I work in their daycare center and had a wonderful time! Pastor Chad is hilarious and uplifting! The music was great and I enjoyed the start of a new week! Kevin had to write a will for class so he skipped out and I felt since he is writing a will I should probably attend church! lol! If your ever in Norman, visit the SPCC church on Boyd! Above is Maggie after her clipping! She loves to cuddle up with Kevin while he studies and she can sleep! I was busy cleaning the house-you see the fairness in that!

Doesnt she look pretty! Kevin and I thought since he can clip cattle and get paid for it, we could manage to clip a schnauzer! For our first time, not to bad!

She was getting lots of treats after putting up with us, so she wouldnt look at the camera because Kevin had the treats!

Doesnt she look miserable letting us do this to her! She was a real trooper! We did decide we would have to have a professional do it before we took her on any major holidays cause they do a better job and they give her a cute little rhinestone bow!

Here is Kevin getting started! I will tell you he was more nervous than he was when he took his LSATs I mean I had to take the clippers and do most of it, and for everyone who reads this blog you know I am not as talented as Kevin but at least I wasnt nervous and kept a steady hand!

This past week!

No pic this week but I promise as soon as I return from AZ I will post some pics! This past week I learned that I will now have my own class of 3 year olds since my co-worker Catava got a promotion and will now be a director at another facility! Yeah for her, scary for me!

I worked all week and then had to take an online class for child care safety and protocal, that I just finished! Now I am going to make some cookies and clean my house up, so that I am ready to go to AZ this weekend! I am stoked to be heading back. My friend Andi is getting married on Saturday and I will be in the wedding down in Tubac. It is sure to be lots of fun and lots of pics. Since I am going home, I get to see my grandma, mom and dad, tanner and KATY! OK, I am really stoked about the last one but I am excited to see the rest too! So I will post pics next week and hopefully be able to tell you when the wedding date is, once I discuss it with the parental units!

Valentine's Day Weekend! So this weekend was Kevin's first weekend without any law school function! YEAH! Unfortunately that meant that his moot court team didnt make it into the 2nd round but they did good!

So for Valentine's Day we drove 1 hour to Okche, OK where we met Holly and Phillip, a boy on her team, for Lunch at the famous Eischens Bar. They are known for their fried chicken and trust me it was worth the drive. It was nice getting to see Holly and Phillip and we got to see some pretty countryside along the way. Then we went to the movies back in Norman and then rented movies on the way home! It was a nice Valentine's Day!

Sunday, Kevin and I, attended Church at McFarlin United Methodist Church which has this amazing organ and beautiful stained glass windows. They are doing the 5 practices lectures which Willcox United methodist Church did right before Christmas. Kevin has a theory on why I am hearing it twice and it is that maybe God is sending me a message. I think maybe God is just letting Kevin hear it! I guess we will both just try and get something from it. The sermon was good and Kevin liked it enough that he said he would come back! Yeah! We went to Cracker Barrel after that were I found a chip of a plate in my chicken and dumplings so lunch was cheap since they took my lunch off! Always a plus!

Thats about it! Just work this week and Mom comes next week! Im super excited!

This is Steph and I. Then Michael, his bud and Kevin! We were celebrating Mike's 21st!

This is our part of OK during fall! Isnt it pretty!

OK! I made the pasta alla vodka and used the vodka and its good but it would definitely be better with just water! Kevin liked it but I think he was just saying that to appease me! He likes to make me happy so I assume he might have told a little white lie! Other than that it was good!

Also Kevin reminded me of what Maggie did this morning and thought I would share this with you.
So Stephanie was giving Maggie lots of attention this morning before I left for work and I was in the kitchen and I said "Maggie, you want to go to Daddy's House" You should have seen that dog fly! She jumped off Steph's lap and raced to the door~ I wasnt going to tell Kevin cause I didnt want his head to swell but Steph did and he had to bring it up to me about how he was a better father and his dog loved him more!

Day Off Early!

So today I thought I got off at 3 but instead got to leave at 12. YEAH! So I came home started to make my cupcakes for my co-workers since our Valentine's Party is tomorrow! Yeah! We are gonna have a bunch of kids hopped up on sugar, isn't that exciting! I am gonna have to just take tylenol with me to class! Haha!

Other than that, I am making dinner for Kevin and Steph. Tracy, Kevin's sister, made this pasta when we were in Stillwater the other day and I am going to try and replicate it. It's called Pasta alla Vodka and Tracy used water instead of Vodka but we are gonna try the vodka option today. I got this recipe off the Pioneer Woman's Website and love her other stuff so Im sure this will be good as well. We are pairing it with cucumber, avocado, and tomato salad and garlic bread! Yum Yum! Also we are gonna have apple turnovers. That is all we are doing right now.

Kevin has practice after dinner so he is busy again but at least he gets to eat with us!

Tornado Warnings

Hello All!

Well really just Heather since she is the only one who knows Im doing this. Today started with light rain and by the afternoon I had to practice tornado drills with my 3 and 4 year old tykes! Let me tell you, 25 3 and 4 year olds is not easy or fun! So I got off work and grabbed my Maggie and came home! Now Steph and I are waiting for the rain to slow so that we can go grab some ice cream! Gotta love ice cream! We arent doing anything much besides that.

Kevin is still getting ready for his moot court competition. He has been practicing every night to compete on Friday so he is busy busy! Stephanie and I are going to try and go and see him but if they pass Friday We get to go watch him Saturday for sure! Yeah! Thats all thats going on in our lives today!

So today I went to work and have my very own class. My co-teacher Catava has a group of 12 kids and so do I. Today was a tester since I wanted to beat some of the 3 year olds since they didnt want to listen, but we made it through the day without incident!

My favorite pastime, I have been reading this book that Kevin gave me "The Night of the Gun" since he felt that my obsession with "The Twilight" Series was a bit much and I needed to read a better book! So I have started this and it is about this cocaine addict who goes back over his life and interviews people to show how his memory has cushioned his life so that he could deal with it. He makes the comment that our minds do this subconsciously so that we can deal with our past. It is a pretty interesting book and when I finish it I will post my full thoughts on what he thinks and how his life is now.

Yesterday, I went to Lawton and had lunch with my friend's parents then went to the all famous "An affair of the Heart" craft fair. There was lots of neat things and we got through the whole thing in less than 2 hours which is a record since most people seem to take a whole day or more to go through. Then I came home and went to dinner with Kevin, Brittany and Dooley. Yum Pei Wei! Then we convinced everyone to go bowling and I stunk it up but Dooley kicked butt~

Today, I went to Church and enjoyed a nice service with a great organ and beautiful stained glass windows! Then I went home and started working on wedding stuff and a grocery list. I went to Walmart and shopped and talked to my best friend (who is suppose to help me with this blog thing) and thats about it. I havent done anything else today. Another week of work starts tomorrow, YEAH!

So my day has been boring today! But I got home and Steph had already ordered Pizza Shuttle which made my day! So now we are sitting here watching Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice! I love Girls Night! Other than that, we are just chilling out. Kevin is at school till 9pm ish each night working on his trial techniques since next week is his moot court competition. He is the lead prosecution on his team and since he loves to argue, he is amazing! I guess thats all for today!
